storm.ent is a company specialising in dj/sound hire, event organising,

music production & sound engineering...

established in early 2000 the company has grown from a humble bedroom

based extra pocket money business to a successful underground music company....

storm.ent consists of bugsy(owner), lucy(shareholder)

& the storm dj/sound crew(marky, lady sasha , ravergal mandy,

athena "the great" &  justin....)

So today I’ve decided to give JHB underground TRANCE supergroup STORM.ENT a visit

and get to know them better…

Pitchin up at bugsy’s place at about 3pm on a Saturday you will find the whole crew either playing play station,

mixing, producing or just having a party before the crew move off into the night and unleash a night of euphoria

and banging sets…

Yes ladies and gents this is the exclusive interview with the elusive BUGSY and his sidekick LUCY…

who together have re-invented the underground rave and have taken the underground by STORM!!!!

 Excuse the pun…ok without any further a do lets get into it…  

 Minxy: Hey guys ! ok 1^st things 1^st how did you meet and how did it all begin?   

B&L: BUGSY= well I’ll let Lucy answer that (he rolls his eyes and looks down)

LUCY= oky well we met at 1 of BUGY’S “famous” house parties hehehehe (they high 5 each other)

aaaaah hooo hooo BUGSY is a damn Genuis I tell ya

he had this wonderful idea to have house parties and only invite gals

so he will be the only guy with like 10-15 chickas up in there!!!

 He was mixing for us while we had a lovely gals night, now at the time I could mix a lil

 (BUGSY interrupts and says“nah lucy whipped my a** that evening”)

 lol you so sweet BUGSY!!! But anywayfrom there as they say … the rest is history!!!   

Minxy: ooooh ok then BUGSY!!!! Ok so you 2 have been at it for 5 years now…

What do you think was the X factor in your success?   

B&L: LUCY= that’s gotta be this guy sitting next to me…

he hand picked each of this current crew and invested so much time and effort into teaching

and refining each one of us into the force that we are at the moment…this guy is just awesome yeapa!!!

BUGSY= I can take take all the praise but honestly STORM.ENT wouldn’t be if it wasn’t for

the crew we had ups and downs but we have always come through stronger!We are like a mafia family….

 MINXY: that’s great stuff guys… so any high points and low points?   

B&L: BUGSY= definitely the L.A trip in ’04 LUCY and I were together about a year then

and we were still in the studio working on my “the album” cd when she got the call…

it was just the most amazing gig ever!!! 45000 people in the arena, 3 dance floors,

LUCY’s set was just awesome!!! She played on the “fire” floor from 10pm-1am, and

my set on the “ice” floor was at 2am-5am…and her set just really pumped me up and inspired

me to play 1 of if not the best 3hr set of my career…

LUCY= aaaaah hooo hooo!Yeapa!!!! I totally agree that gig was just amazing!!!

 And we decided before we left S.A that we will just play vinyls and we left all our cd’s at home…

it could’ve backfired but gladly it didn’t…

AND WE AINT GOT LOWS WE CAN THINK ABOUT…

YOU FALL YOU GET UP DUST YOURSELF OFF AND MOVE ON AYT!!!! 

 (BUGSY looks at LUCY With a blank look on his face and then looks at me, looks back at LUCY and nods approvingly)

MINXY: so what’s new in the STORM camp? 

B&L: LUCY= sjoe well me working on me 1^st artist album 3am rush! Will be out later this year…

tha psymeese twins have left STORM.ENT it was mutual and we wish them all the best in the future,

the whole crew is also busy on a new mix cd series called “storm.ent all stars”,

 MANDY & ATHENA are busy reworking a few of their trax, SASHA just did a mix with BUGSY

and has just released her debut E.P. LADY SASHA IS WICKED! 5 new trax from SASHA and a dj mix on 1 disc,

its slammin!!!! We have just hosted 3 raves so far and we have a few planned for the rest of ’08 so watch this space…

YEAPA!!!! DJ LUCY PINK PENTY OOOOVER AND OUT!!!!
